Tongue piercings have serious consequences

Posted: July 26, 2010 in Health

Yeah, this comes out of nowhere, but I thought I would throw this up after reading a story about how dental care sort of got missed in the health care reform quagmire. Those things, piercings, seem to be pretty popular with young Americans. Kids, you’ll regret it one day when you find that your tongue piercing has worn so heavily on your gums that you need skin grafts in your mouth to repair the damage, and that’s if you’re lucky and they take. Otherwise you’ll go around with the roots of your teeth exposed and it won’t seem so cool at all anymore.
